Theatre education majors work together to teach theatre basics to elementary age students. Teaching this troupe has taught me a lot about how to collaborate with other teachers and keep lessons simple yet engaging.

I work here as an instructor in Musical Theatre and Lyrical classes of all levels. My students are taught technique in the style and learn several dances throughout the year to practice the skill of picking up choreography quickly.

I was a guest instructor for Dawson High School’s “Ovation Theatre Boot Camp” they hold each summer. I taught tap, contemporary, and hip hop workshops. The dance styles were catered to what the next musical would require.

I have choreographed for Westbrook Intermediate (choir and theatre), Dawson High School, and the UH Musical Theatre Organization. This has helped me understand how to teach dance for various skill levels and ages.
